Smooth Like Butter(ick)

You know you have a "pattern purchase problem" when you receive new parcels in the mail and you can't even remember having ordered them. To wit, my latest surprise:

This dress has certainly been popular with bloggers. Look at Kim's version.

I don't even know where to put this in the queue of things I want to make. Hmmm...

  2. Oh I've done that. But not this time. (I hope)

That is a great dress and I think it will look fabulous on you. I know I didn't order it although I wavered back and forth a good bit, but decided that the lovely angled lines would not be as flattering as I would like.

  3. Ooh, make me one. I would love the sleeveless version in gray and I would like some of the panels to be in black. LOVE it!

  8. Wow...I've never had someone link to one of my blog posts! Thank you! This dress is actually fairly simple to make but it takes a bit of patience. There are no "panels" to it. The bodice is just a front and a back and you get the shaping by doing darts and the pleats.

Your post made me realize that I hadn't worn it since the party and decided to dress it down today with boots and a cashmere cardi wrap for work. I'm definitely considering the sleeveless version for the summer. I can't wait to see your version.

    Thanks,
    Kim

Stacey: I'm amazed by how everyone is loving the sleeveless version. I'm doing the sleeves this time out...

Queen: Maybe easy to draft - but a pain in the ass to fabric mark!

Kim: Going to put it together today. Wish me luck!
